Promotion of the Your New Business
Starting out a new small business can be a daunting experience. The list of tasks and decisions can be overwhelming. Of these, self-promotion may be the most touchy. On the one hand, the new business needs to register in public awareness; on the other hand, it’s not a great idea to turn up at a business card printing shop without an idea of what you need, lest you end up with boxes of coasters and lanyards with your business name on them collecting dust in your new office.
So what promotional items does the new business need? The items should make sense for your customer base: printed balloons make great sense for a children’s hair cutting place, but not as much for accounting. Something like promotional pens are a good choice for a variety of different businesses. They are easily stored and displayed, and are the sort of thing that most customers will find attractive. They are also inexpensive, so they are a good way to get the word out without breaking the bank. Other items to be considered are things like key chains, or decks of playing cards with your company’s name and logo. Carefully selected promotional items can be a boon for a new business.
